Board of Administration
The
City of Fresno Fire and Police Retirement Board is
a five-member board composed of two management employees
appointed by the Mayor and confirmed by the City Council,
one member that is elected by the Fire members and
one elected by Police members; and a fifth member who
is not connected with the City and appointed by the
previous four members.
The Fire and Police Retirement System is a legal Trust
Fund that was created by the Charter of the City of
Fresno and is governed by the language contained in
the Fresno Municipal Code Sections 2-1700, the California
Pension Protection Act of 1992 and the Retirement Board
Joint Rules and Regulations.
